Confirmed from Dickerson Mine Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
A former Revolutionary War mine site, this 280-acre woodland is now a public park with trails.
What runners say about Dickerson Mine Preserve
“Great park for mountain biking, trails are pretty well marked and easy to follow.”
If you mountain bike and you're local, you've just found yourself an awesome local spot. Dickerson mine is a small trail system, but it has a little bit of everything. Decent climbs, fast downhills, flow sections, tight fast single track, technical rocky.
Great park for mountain biking, trails are pretty well marked and easy to follow. Found a parking lot in a neighborhood at the bottom of the trail called Mine Hill. Trails have some cool rideable rock features and some wood skinnies to session. Rocks are sharp so I suggest wearing pads and helmet of course.
I have to absolutely agree with a few of the reviewers. Great trails for hiking and biking, but watch out for the rocks particularly on blue. I've clipped my rear derailleur on rocks twice, and had my pedals catch rocks often. Marty's Reliable Bikes is right on route 10 and is good for gearing up and repairs.
Awesome! Lots of nice trails and some really cool stuff to see. Walked all the way up to Canfield Avenue through the woods. Easy hike.
Trail conditions & character
“Mountain biking, I encountered lots of interspersed rock garden, spare armoring at small creek crossing, intermixed with compliant berming, roots and more.”
“Found a parking lot in a neighborhood at the bottom of the trail called Mine Hill.”
“Very easy to understand trail markers, can make a loop which is always a positive.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
