Confirmed from Hudson Highlands State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic 8,000+ acre area along the Hudson River offering vistas & trails for all fitness levels.

“The park offers a variety of trails for all levels, from easy riverside walks to challenging hikes like Breakneck Ridge with stunning views of the Hudson River.”
Beautiful park with plenty of trails for everyone from short and easy to moderately challenging and miles long. There are a lot of attractions here: gorgeous views of the Hudson River valley, ruins of Cornish Estate, and even lost in the woods dairy farm abandoned in the 1960s.
Hudson Highlands State Park is a breathtaking gem that offers an incredible escape into nature. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the stunning views of the Hudson River and the surrounding mountains.
I did the Cornish Estate and Old Forge trail. The short hike to the ruins was totally worth it. The trail was very beautiful and breathtaking. It's an easy trail to navigate, and the walking path is wide. However, due to the thunderstorm we had the past few days, there was a lot of debris and falling trees.
I visited Hudson Highlands State Park for the first time to hike the Blue Trail, also known as the Cornish Trail. It was only my third time hiking, and that’s when I realized how much I love it, I definitely plan to hike more often.
