If you are in the same mood as we were - just want an easy hike with great views, Little Stony Point is for you. Multiple trails begin at this point, so the parking lot is always pretty full. We ended up parking on the side of the road.
Great little park, and the trails were easy enough. Beautiful views and great spots for pictures. Overall, nice park. We saw a large cave while hiking the trail and wondered if Yogi bear lived there, but I was not going to check it out.
The best views! Beautiful, easy to moderate hike. Parking across the road. You can climb up or take the water side trail. We will be back to this one. It is also a great one to do with kids of all ages. We enjoyed it in early January with no others visible on the trail.
I love coming here whenever for a day trip in Cold Spring and when not climbing Bull Hill. It’s a peaceful oasis on the water, and I love taking photos of the driftwood and large beautiful roots as well as listening to the sound of the water lapping at the shore.
