Confirmed from Hudson River Waterfront Greenway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Waterfront park with running & cycling paths, popular for watching the sun set over the Hudson.
What runners say about Hudson River Waterfront Greenway

“A beautiful, well-maintained path along the Hudson River, perfect for walking, jogging, or biking.”
“There is plenty of bird life to see and overall it’s a quiet sanctuary away from the usual hustle and bustle of Manhattan.”
A fantastic greenway all the way from Lower Manhattan to Harlem. Phenomenal views of Manhattan’s west side and across the water to Jersey. Definitely worth walking or cycling along it
100x better than Eastside Greenway NYC. Separate Bike and Pedestrian walkways. Separated by lush median. The dedicated lanes are amazing. West Side Piers are beautiful. Approaching downtown the skyscrapers take your breath away.
WHAT THEHEEBEE SAYS ABOUT HUDSON RIVER WATERFRONT GREENWAY I stayed at Newyork for a week in February - 2019. I would say that I was blessed to have my hotel at a walking distance from Hudson River Waterfront Greenway. It was my daily ritual to walk from Pier 40 to Battery Park and back.
Surprisingly serene cycling and walking area along the Hudson River and Upper Westside of Manhattan ... The pathways are flat and in relatively good condition - there are restrooms & a few great Riverside cafes nearby ... Well worth a wander or picnic if you have an hour or two to spare 👌
