Confirmed from Riverside Park South's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Beautiful park for any weather! Big hills for sled after the snow! Perfect place to run under the highway, along Hudson River. So many people walking their dog, picnic in the summer, and beautiful sunset with New Jersey in the background. Also the easiest and fastest way to bike to downtown without a stop!

Pier "i" Cafe on the river is wonderful. Walking along the river especially with a sunset is calming , and again, wonderful experience. Many people bike, jog, walk dogs and bring children and occasionally Rollerblade along this amazing waterfront park. Personally I meditate regularly in Riverside Park.

The park is on the Hudson and was stunning during sunset! There was outdoor karaoke (and most of the singers were actually good so it was very entertaining!), lots and lots of adorable pets running around and a bar/cafe with outdoor seating to enjoy the beautiful view.

Riverside Park South is an absolutely beautiful place! It has something for everyone—whether you enjoy jogging along the water, biking, taking a nice walk, playing with the kids, walking your dog, or simply enjoying the views. It's a great, relaxed spot to spend some time.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 21 mentions

“There are so many great public paths and spaces to walk, rest, picnic, check out views, walk your dog, walk your baby in a stroller.”
