Confirmed from Hueston Woods State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

A great little state park perfect for creek stomping and forest bathing. We paused here after visiting friends in Richmond, and plan to try out the campgrounds soon. We especially enjoyed the haiku trail and the suggestion to slow down

Great place for the family. Hiking, fishing ,swimming, boating, bird watching. This park has it all. The trails are nice, the campground is really nice. Lots to do for all. Fossil and rock collecting in the creek.

The park has a variety of options for your stay including RV, tent, lodge, cabin, equestrian, primitive and groups. There is a large Pavillion in the campground. They provide many activities such as nature walks, flora and fauna talks, and more. Acton Lake offers a beach, marina, and fishing.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
