Confirmed from Huffman MetroPark's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Lakefront recreation area with hiking trails & mountain biking opportunities plus wildlife watching.
What runners say about Huffman MetroPark
“The white blanket transforms the landscape into a serene winter wonderland, providing stunning backdrops for photography.”
“Even though it's small and doesn't have too many trails, it's a nice quiet place that is a haven for a short walk or just to sit and contemplate.”
Huffman MetroPark is a fantastic destination for nature lovers and wildlife photographers alike. I recently visited and was thrilled by the variety of birds I could capture through my lens. The park offers a peaceful environment, making it an ideal spot to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature.
Beautiful place to relax and enjoy nature. The only thing going against it is the noise from the traffic but that's easy to block out, like white noise. Otherwise this could easily become a favorite spot for me. I arrived at dusk so I wasn't able to walk the whole trail but what I did was very easy to follow.
Great place for a nice walk around a lake. Peaceful. Beautiful. There are concrete tables and metal grills here so that you can have a BBQ or picnic. You can get very close to the water easily. Huge cargo planes occasionally fly overhead here. You can enjoy watching them prepare for landing.
Such a wonderful local place to enjoy. These are three simple pictures that were actually meant to capture the awesome view of all the yellow flowers we had encountered in particular that day, but it gives a slight peek into the beauty of the reserve/park overall.
