Confirmed from Hunter Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Hunter Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (175 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 9 mentions

“This park is clean and well-maintained, even with baseball games happening almost daily.”

Great place to go for. Walk. Just beware of residents from near neighborhood. They walk their dogs off the leash and allow their dogs to run freely. Dogs don't bother me but I talked with a young woman and she had her 2 small dogs and someone's big dogs ran up on her and her fur babies and scared her..

★★★★★ — Angela , Jun 2023

A nice park with a couple of playground sets, ball fields, paved walking path, large parking lot, and a pond. The pond is catch and release, no swimming, and no boats. The path is close to a mile loop. There are benches and dog waste resources along the path. The are restrooms, which might be locked.

★★★★☆ — Zachary , Oct 2023

This is such a nice quiet community park. They have some really nice events every year and a nice selection of play sets for the kids. It's a really quiet, low key place to relax and it has a nice walking path.

We came to play ball here, i loved the trees that provided lots of shade! The dugouts and Fields do need updates for the players all around. Its a very nice park other than that little critique.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
