Confirmed from Hunt's Woods Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Hunt's Woods Park
“Most people walking dogs also walk them off leash, again great if you like dogs but not so great if they make you nervous.”
Love this little treat right down the street from my home. Really lovely to walk back there with my fur child. Most dogs are off leashes which is fine with me as I’m trying to train my dog off leash also.
You can access this wood from Gramatan Avenue or Central Parkway. The trails are unpaved and very narrow and rocky in places, great if you are feeling adventurous but not so great if you have mobility issues.
This is a very good place to ride your bicycle, walk your dog and hike . It is a creek and there is a nice stream that runs through. Watch out for the rocks there is a lot and insects like mosquitoes especially during the spring because it rains a lot.
It's a little hidden gem of a trail that I'm afraid I may lose out on, from increased public use, as I've seen the recent increase in use but, nonetheless a beautifully convenient place to walk, run or just take a dollop of nature in and disconnect from whatever may be of stress.
Trail conditions & character
“Keep in mind there’s lots of dogs without their leash and some of the trails are covered with branches or bushes, but still a pretty place to go on a run or walk!”
