Confirmed from Hurdle Waterfowl Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic walking park featuring ponds, bird sightings and a watchtower.
What runners say about Hurdle Waterfowl Park
“Clean water for the most part.”
“Absolutely beautiful park with nice walking path!”
“Beautiful and peaceful park.”
“What a great place to walk my dogs.”
The park clearly is getting some updates & improvements! I very much had an excellent time walking around all the ponds (lakes?) this park has to offer. My dog had a good time as well splashing in the water and making sure no Canada Goose came close to us.
What a great place to walk my dogs. Just make sure if you do to bring poop bags for them. I noticed some dog poop. Besides that, oh this is an amazing place, calming place to walk the dogs or by yourself.
Nice place to take a walk. Didn't see any waterfowl, but did see a lot of spiderwebs in the morning dew.
Nice peaceful park setting. The watchtower looked really neat as well. Over 2 miles of hiking trails and 2 large ponds where the birds congregate.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
