Confirmed from Hurley and O&W Rail Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Hurley and O&W Rail Trail
Lovely place for an easy walk. Can often spot herons, turtles and a variety of birds and butterflies. Paved and flat, though not shady - wear sunscreen!
The mill is just off the trail and clearly visible. The first photo is a diorama I'm building of the site.
The TH in W Hurley was paved but did not have any other services. It gets a 3. The trail is a real mix. The 4 miles south of Kingston are paved and flat so suitable for any use. South of the Hurley-Marbletown TH the trail gets much tougher and conditions are quite variable.
Great Rail Trail not for road bikes in part. Would be amazing if they extended it into Kingston!
