We parked here and hiked the ice age trail Verona segment (6.5 miles one way). Dogs are welcomed and must be on leash. Some parts of it is quite muddy, so come prepared. Beautiful hike with changing views.
Gorgeous! We ran 16 miles on this segment of the Ice Age Trail and evey mile was beautiful. One thing I wish I'd known: there is very little shade on many of the stretches, so make sure your prepared for lots of sunshine.
We always have a nice time walking on the Ice Age Trail. Being the first warm day after winter, it was very wet in places. We turned around when we reached a giant puddle that spanned the entire path. I was sad to see copious amounts of dog poop along the path. We had to always be watching our step.
Great walking and biking path. The parking lot is small (fits fewer than 20 cars) which is usually sufficient. There's a garbage can and port-a-potty typically. The terrain is gently rolling through prairie fields and a small section of woods.
