Confirmed from Idlewild Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
City park with a playground, tennis courts, and basketball court, plus picnic tables and grills.
What runners say about Idlewild Park
“Great park, very well maintained lawn, incredibly friendly neighborhood”
“It is always peaceful and lots of shade trees to park under to eat or just sit and relax a bit.”
Small, but so cute and packs a punch. So much shaded parking. Tennis courts, Basketball court, huge, amazing playground, walking/running path. Pavillion, picnic tables and benches. Cute gardens with unique features. Love it!
One of, if not the best playgrounds around. Great spot to bring your kids, i loved playing here when I was young, and I love coming to picnic with my friends now that I'm older. There's a nice walking trail, basketball court, playground, gazebo area, and garden. Absolutely 10/10.
I go there to walk on the walking track and eat my lunch at various times. Great place to do so. It is always peaceful and lots of shade trees to park under to eat or just sit and relax a bit. There is, also, a great playground and tennis courts.
Great equipment, well cared for area. Playground has separate spaces for age groups but can be accessed by all. Near walking trail, grassy areas, benches & bathroom. Bathrooms are less than desired but work as needed.
