Visited in December 2024. This park is gorgeous—think quiet forested campsites that lead down to a pier with knockout water views. Heads-up: the entrance can be confusing; follow the signs for the pier or you’ll loop through the campground first. You’ll also need a Discovery Pass to park.
Hidden State Park! Great camping spot! Good hike around and a huge pier for fishing or crab fishing.. so many crabs! Beach area is okay. Plenty of parking and bathrooms. One thing i will say, this is the first time I see a state park that has the cleanest bathrooms.
Illahee State Park is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. The ride to the bottom is zig zaggy way. The lush, old-growth forests and pristine waterfront make it a nature lover's paradise.
Absolute best spot! Well maintained, spacious n the trails are amazing but EXPECT a large influx of incline stairs to get to beach from camp trail. (Going the road way down however is MUCH easier) definitely impressive n helpful but not expected. One of a kind. Well priced.
