Confirmed from Independence Hills Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This is one of the best parks in Laredo, Texas. It has different facilities for varying interests. It even has a dog park. Across the park... some feet away is a pond where mere watching of the ducks gives one a sense of joy. There's also a trail where you can leisurely have a walk.
Nice and clean park. Well lit, cops are always checking and there is many events going on throughout the year. Tailgating is awesome,, lots of trails, lake, its just always good to be here.bring your family and play basketball, volleyball, baseball and a kiddie park..
Very beautiful place! I love the trails specifically, very nice place to walk. Only problem is that it can be a bit dirty at times. However I still highly recommend!
Park is large and has a bit of everything. What it needs is more lights in dark walking areas. Dog parks are great!

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
