Confirmed from Parque Benavides' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with playgrounds, skate ramps, volleyball courts and baseball fields.
What runners say about Parque Benavides
“Everything is clean in this park but at night there is more light on the front side where the playgrounds are at than at the skating area near the woods.”
“Splash pad, playground, workout machines, track, swings, basketball court, picnic tables, shade, skate ramps, volleyball and and open field.”
This particular park is kind of unique. Unlike NCP that happens to very big, popular, and with access to some other areas and businesses; this happens to be at the end of a neighborhood. The walking trail is long and will take to another part of the city without you even noticing.
Beautiful clean park with a nice playground and basketball courts also the skating park was nice even soccer fields this park has almost everything. Nice paved bike trail and is also long and wide for 5 bikes. The trail was amazing and very clean definitely 5 stars
Has a nice dog park, has one play ground, nice baseball field and a skating park. Also the bike path is awesome. Just keep in mind to take your own water and there is only one porta potty for the park.
It's a nice place for a walk/run, a workout, some skating or even to play volleyball. There's a good space for kids on the playground, although it could use more light there. Apart from that, the trail runs though different parks towards the south all the way to the river. Very nice

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
