Confirmed from Irish Buffalo Creek Greenway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“The trail is peaceful, well-maintained, and perfect for walking, biking, or just enjoying nature.”

The trails are fantastic and beautiful. We saw a lot of squirrels in the woods areas. The trail leads back to a loop around a pond that you can stop and feed turtles and ducks. This was my first time here, but I will be back to explore more.

The Irish Buffalo Creek Greenway is a great trail for beginners. It's about a 2-mile stretch one way, with the first quarter-mile being gravel and the rest properly paved. The full out-and-back trail is close to 5 miles, running alongside the creek.

Beautiful and well maintained walking trail. Part of the Carolina Thread Trail.

While the main greenway is paved, the access path from Vietnam Veterans Park is gravel for a few hundred yards. It can be accessed directly from Rodgers Lake Road.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
