Confirmed from Walter M Safrit Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Walter M Safrit Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (211 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 5 mentions

“Their clean and have toilet tissue and even seat covers!”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“Not a ton of shade and needs more parking for games but the park is nice to walk around and great for younger kids to play.”

Great park for walking around the track. Playing for children to play on. You can watch softball games in the fall and spring. Fall on Saturday they have flag football for children and in the spring soccer. They have a great concession stand when they have ballgames. Great prices also!!

Small park but you get the best of both worlds. Playground for the kids and a track to walk around (can easily keep up with the laps ). There is also a big field to play soccer/ football, two baseball fields. When available they have snacks for sale. There is a soda machine when snacks aren't available.

One of the many beautiful parks we have the pleasure to visit here in Kannapolis! I like this one in particularly because this park is where lots of the sport activities occur regarding our children here in Kannapolis/ Concord area.

★★★★★ — Erica , Sep 2022

Baseball and soccer fields. 1/2 mile lap is good for walking or a quick run. Plenty of room to throw a frisbe. PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG. There are bags available so no excuses.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
