Confirmed from Ironwoods Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Ironwoods Preserve
“The trails are overall very well maintained, and keep a nice width throughout the preserve.”
“Trails are clean and well marked.”
Great hiking trails. Not difficult & easy enough for younger kids to navigate. Off road parking available.
Several new trails have been added in the last year. If you haven't been there lately it's definitely changed for the better. Trails are clean and well marked. Parking is ample and safe. No better way to social distance than a nice hike in the woods!
Hidden gem and nice trails! The Ironwoods Preserve features a nice shorter loop that goes around the lake, and a bigger loop that runs along the exterior of the property. Overall most of the trails are pretty easy and flat, but there were a few parts where the rocks can make them more challenging.
Trail conditions & character
“The trails are dog friendly and have lots of nice spots for your dogs to go in the lake and cool off.”
“The lake is very scenic, and features a small island in the middle that can be accessed when the water level is low usually in winter months.”

- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
