Confirmed from Irving and John Anderson County Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Large green space with hiking and walking trails and a playground for kids. Dog-friendly.
What runners say about Irving and John Anderson County Park
“Very beautiful scenery and photo opportunities along with the trails which I hammered on with my bike this place definitely deserves 5 stars and more”
“Love this new find, beautiful scenery and very quiet surrounding.”
“Dog friendly with a leash - not too buggy right now (June 2020) - definitely one of my local favs!”
Beautiful park! Paths are gravel or mowed. There’s a few wooden bridges throughout. We saw quite a few swans, wood ducks, and other fun wildlife. Cool areas for photos too as there’s some taller grass and beautiful scenery. In case you’re a photographer and are looking for different locations.
I love the history of the park. I love the fact that it's helping the environment. There are so many things I love about this park. Let me mention a few of them: the trails, the swamps, the lake, the kids' playground, etc. We never miss to visit the park whenever we are in town.
Well done @isanticountyparks! Even though there were major tree damage from storms in the past 4 days, all the trails were cleared and it was a great hike with groomed trails, nice boardwalk. We and our dogs loved it!
Gorgeous park with perfect walking trails and a small gathering area/playground and rock climbing wall for the kiddos. I visit a number of times each week and it’s a great experience. Other visitors are friendly as well! Dog friendly with a leash - not too buggy right now (June 2020) - definitely one of my local favs!!
