Confirmed from The Blue Sky Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Trail system through woodland, marshy terrain, offering a spot for hiking and geocaching.
What runners say about The Blue Sky Preserve
“Most of it is next to heavily forested areas and thus is at least partially shaded during the majority of the day.”
“Very quiet and relaxing even though there was some construction going on (renovation?”
Nice trails. It's decently kept, but it could do with some more trail maintenance. Regardless, its a good trail run or hike. Just have to be on the lookout for poison ivy and spiders who decide to set up shop in the narrow parts of the trail. Nobody likes running face first into a spider.
It was a chill walk through the woods. The trails are somewhat maintained but you will have to go over or around a downed tree or two. Nothing serious.
It’s a cute smaller area. The parking lot is small, but there are lots of woods to explore. The trails are small and I would recommend bug spray beforehand! The tables and benches are not in the best shape to sit on and the trails are not marked too well.
Great quiet little hike. Coffee shop close by too which is pretty cool. Sufficient parking which is a huge plus. Not a whole lot to look at which is the only downside but it's still a great walk outdoors.
