Confirmed from Jack Hume Grove's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature park featuring walking/biking paths amid redwood trees & other native California plants.
What runners say about Jack Hume Grove
“Park at the end of Butcher Road and enjoy a beautiful walk or bike ride to through this grove of redwood trees.”
“Wonderful light walk, very shaded, not crowded, and is great for kids and adults alike.”
“Even though it is situated next to I-80 and a local favorite exercise path, this still feels like a peaceful place to be.”
Easy to moderate hiking trails. Kid and dog friendly. Many different trails to take. There’s even a trail where you get up close and personal with the cows. Overall, beautiful views and good vibes!
I like Jack Hume Grove. Nice place for a little quiet solitude. Rest. Enjoy a little snack. Get back on the trail. Plus, there's quite a collection of fauna here. My pix were taken after the rains and trails became creeks. It's dried up since.
Visit this hidden gem within Peña Adobe Park! This recently renovated area features well maintained paths and Redwood trees that give you a taste of larger parks you can normally only find in bay area. Take a walk, explore the fauna then have a picnic at one of the shaded picnic tables.
