Confirmed from Jackson Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular playground, walking area and fitness center with slides and picnic tables.
What runners say about Jackson Park
“The equipment and area was clean and in good repair.”
Growing up in Anderson, this was a park that I frequented in my childhood into my adulthood. With additional amenities, it is still a great place to go, especially when certain events are happening, like the Anderson Black Expo.
Very nice park with playground and walking path. They also have a track for people to race small powered cars on ropes. Always looks well kept. Glad they moved the Black Expo back where it belongs. Great food, entertainment, products and on election years no shortage of candidates!
The park was recently remodeled the bathroom is new and clean the shelter has plenty of benches the playground area is nice and there is a workout stations and a paved path around the park to joh or walk
This picture is horribly inaccurate, as if this city couldn't have picked a pretty day for a picture. Really unfair, park was very clean. Quite a few people using the walk way, kids playing, baseball game going on next door. This caption is wrong in more than one way, too bad.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
