Confirmed from James McKnight Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This playground is a hidden gem! It had been 5 years since we last came and it has been a great surprise to come back and see the new trails. They're great! The best thing now, the playground, we never paid attention to it before and now that we have kids we loved it!

★★★★★ — Ellie , Dec 2021

A Great small park for family birthdays or picnics. They have a big baseball park close by for playing or practicing with your kids or team. This park also has a walking trail which my kids loved. If your looking to have a party, go on a picnic or spend some time with your kids then this is the place to go.

I love all the parks in my area of Mansfield also the trails that unite them all, thank you Parks and Recreation for keeping our children, sports, pets, and families surrounded by nature.

James McKnight Park East is a family fun oriented park right off the 287 near The Shops at Broad offering many luscious green grass and trails to explore! Parking is relatively easy due to the large parking lot that is provided.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
