Confirmed from Jaycee Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Such a beautiful park on the water. Wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion under one of the pavilions, spot a manatee passing by the waterline, hang a hammock for the day, have a picnic, walk your dogs, etc. Great walkways with beautiful trees and plants.

I signed the petition to prevent upgrading the park as I focused solely on the shade of the large Australian pines. I was sad to see them go and missed the park that brought us to this neighborhood just before COVID. Well, I tried to be positive during the 16 months of construction and was eager to see the new park.

Jaycee Park is one of the best waterfront parks in Cape Coral. The views along the Caloosahatchee River are beautiful, and it’s a great place to spend a few hours relaxing outdoors.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
  • SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
