Confirmed from Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Best park in the area! You can do so many things here! From biking, hiking, walking, running, exploring the homestead, turtle pound, fishing, canoeing.... playground and green picnic area. Stop at the nature center building and ask for their monthly activities for adults and kids or go to see the snakes.

Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center is an absolute gem! 🌳🦋 The moment I stepped into this sanctuary of nature, I felt an instant connection with the serene surroundings. The trails are not just paths; they are gateways to a world of tranquility and natural beauty.

I love this park..there's a playground, trails that connect to other parks, access to the creek, and even a canoe/kayak ramp, oh and a turtle pond. Absolutely love coming here for a run or a walk or even just bringing my daughter along and end the trip at the playground. There's two restrooms.

Amazing place, I've gone walking in different small parks in Illinois and California before but this one is calm and has a variety of paths to take. Just enough to make it a trip to complete 😁 You can even go to one of their restrooms before and after the walk.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🛣️ Paved surface 4 mentions

“The park has mostly paved trails and some dirt ones, there are many mosquitos and snakes depending on the season.”
