Confirmed from Jonathan's Woods' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a network of trails for walks, birdwatching, and views.
What runners say about Jonathan's Woods
“Easy, flat trail with lots of more challenging off shoots through stunning woods.”
So tranquil! The trails are short-White, Purple and Red Blaze Trails and pleasant to hike. My daughter and I enjoyed it very much. The White Trails are wide and easy to walk on. A little muddy but not a biggie. The purple trails are magical to hike on. The Pine Trees are such a pleasant sight to see.
Nothing better than finding a new walking spot, especially a hidden gem like this. Easy, flat trail with lots of more challenging off shoots through stunning woods. Babbling brooks and dainty wildflowers lined the path.
Our walk today was cut short My husband was ahead of me , I noticed he was looking at something , he whispered in my ear there's a adult bear ahead , crossing the trail. I didnt look. We walked very fast in opposite direction back to the car. It looks like a nice selection of trails, well marked
Great area is preserved land with many trails. Most of the trails are moderately difficult with some very rocky areas and some wet areas.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
