Confirmed from Kachina Prairie Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Bison, wildflowers, and bluebonnets abound in this park that features a lake, walking paths, and a boat ramp.
What runners say about Kachina Prairie Park
“We took a guided walk during the bluebonnets prime season and it was beautiful.”
A nice little prairie next to a small lake. There's a nice walking circuit, information about the Blackland Prairie, access to the lake shore and distance markers
Solid, wildflowers in abundance, watch out for poison oak on the lake trail! Got a chance to teach the little boy about not running off trail in the woods 🤣 also that the sun turns a metal bison into a cast iron pan at 3pm in Texas... even if it's 75 degrees outside. Overall, it's nature. Fresh air. Sunshine. Flowers.
Nice place to visit. There is a 1/8 of a mile walk, and the scenery is nice.
Had a wonderful time utilizing the beautiful trails and outstanding scenery and the fellow trailers (other lady's and gentlemen)that where enjoying the outstanding trails and scenery!!!!!! I thank you kindly for the opportunity to get peace and tranquility and some good exercising in Also!!!!!!
