We were driving to Dallas from Houston and thought of doing a quick visit to Ennis being spring season. Had great fun clicking photos during bluebonnets season and festival. Great place to visit with friends, family or pets. Huge parking space enough for the visiting crowd and not much of a walk to the park.
Such a nice little park. Easy to get to, right off the highway. My only complaint is they really should have some kind of park staff there making sure people are respecting the flowers for all to enjoy. Its disheartening seeing tourists trampling the bluebonnets for a picture.
This park is very nice. Lots of wild flowers, of course including Bluebonnets. A few playgrounds and walking paths to enjoy nature. There is a pond where we did see a few people fishing. The baseball parks are nice very open. The dugouts are nice and spacious.
If you love bluebonnets and Texas wildflowers, Ennis is one of the best places to visit. Even thought it was a bit early in the season, we did a bluebonnet drive around Ennis and ended the day with a trip to the Bluebonnet Park. Beautiful park with little lake and fountain.
