Confirmed from Kanik Nature Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Very easy to follow gravel trail that runs along private land. The private land gives pretty views from the trail.

Was in town for work and decided to check this place out. It was a great trail to walk through and take pictures. Well maintained and lots of wildlife to enjoy.

★★★★★ — Adam , Oct 2025

Easy trail for families, dogs, strollers, bikes. Very buggy, and water spots along the way, but not bad if you keep moving at some pace that isn't standing still. Easy place to leisure walk, or run and do the fitness spots along the route (or carry your 35lb toddler all the way back because HE is tired).

★★★★★ — Alyse , Jun 2019

Free parking at either end of trail. Two miles from end to end, four mile loop. Gravel trail makes it handicap and stroller accessible the entire way. There is outdoor fitness equipment along the trail with signs to indicate proper usage of equipment.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
