Confirmed from Kanza Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring a playground, a frisbee golf course and picnic tables.
What runners say about Kanza Park
“A few others walking and jogging, riding bikes, playing disc golfer, a few families playing and dog walkers too.”
I would watch the kids when they go up the stairs to the slide. It's pretty steep and open, so little ones can fall, but the rest of the park is pretty sized well for little one otherwise. I didn't feel like I had to follow them around too much.
the playground equipment is decent. Just wish there was more of a variety for younger kids. It's a lovely walk for Walkers and bikers. Especially those with children in strollers.
This is a wonderful park the children have so much space to play and a wonderful play ground my son and I rode our bikes around the park as there is a great bike and trail ride that goes through it we passed couples walking their dogs people walking and holding hands.
The park looks great, thanks to the city workers doing a fantastic job of keeping it that way. Almost all the time I am here to play disc golf or walk the path, which is a very nice walk most of the time with a lot of space with bicycles. The new baskets are great. The new tee pads make this course much more enjoyable.
Trail conditions & character
“I'd love to see a real bathroom there, as there is only a portable bathroom, which during the summer in Kansas gets pretty rank.”
“A few others walking and jogging, riding bikes, playing disc golfer, a few families playing and dog walkers too.”
“Not very wooded, so most of the holes are fairly wide open.”
“It's pretty steep and open, so little ones can fall, but the rest of the park is pretty sized well for little one otherwise.”
“Playground for the kids, an outdoor workout area, an 18 hole disc golf course, a paved walking/running/biking path and picnic tables (covered and non).”
“Easy to moderate difficulty depending on skill level.”
“This park has a great playground, 3/4 mile walking trail, water station, disc golf, and exercise stations.”
