Confirmed from Prairie Spirit Trail - Ottawa Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Prairie Spirit Trail - Ottawa Trailhead
“It is well maintained and most of it is lined by trees so there is some shade and wind cover.”
“As compared to the Flint Hills Trail, this trail is a bit less scenic, but there were plenty of tire chewing thorns on the Flint Hills trail; none on the Prairie Spirit Trail.”

This is the parking lot for the Prairie Spirit trail. It's a small park with some picnic tables. I didn't see any restrooms.
Rode the whole trail and had a wonderful experience. Well maintained and beautiful!
We've ridden from Ottawa to Humboldt on two occasions, both only taking a day. Each time was on fully loaded touring bicycles. As compared to the Flint Hills Trail, this trail is a bit less scenic, but there were plenty of tire chewing thorns on the Flint Hills trail; none on the Prairie Spirit Trail.
This is a nice trail for running. It is well maintained and most of it is lined by trees so there is some shade and wind cover. I have ran the trail from Ottawa to Welda. It is basically flat the whole way so it can be used by people of all ages and all fitness levels.
