Confirmed from Kashong Conservation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Kashong Conservation Area

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (59 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Beautiful with feilds, forest, and marsh like areas.”

🪧 well-marked 5 mentions

“The trails are easy to navigate and you have a few to choose from, just be sure to watch out for ticks as we did see quite a few.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“Very peaceful and beautiful nature walks.”

Well maintained, improvements each year in trail extension and signage. Rather diverse biota in a relatively small space. A major asset for the Town, but I fear only residents of the southern part use it very much.

★★★★★ — Jim , Jan 2024

Nice area for a picnic. 4 tables as soon as you leaving the parking area and walk up a little hill. Has a few nice open trails that stretch back into the nature area.

★★★★☆ — David , May 2018

Very peaceful and beautiful nature walks. Clearly marked trails, some maintained and some less so. Overall a great place to wander and relax. Good for all ages.

★★★★★ — Aaron , Jun 2019

Nicely mowed trails. A couple caches hidden away if you're into geocaching.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
