Confirmed from Seneca Lake State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Very beautiful lake front and paved pathways for walking or biking. I couldn't find any designated picnic areas or BBQ places. Its good for a walk alongside the lake with m Beautiful views. Beautiful mainstreet with shops etc. Good to spend quality time.

Seneca Lake State Park is a very nice place to go spend the day. It is fun to pack a picnic and hang out under the trees. It has a large playground, the spray park, a sand beach (which does not have a lifeguard this 2021 year that I am aware of).

Beautiful lake for kayaking. We launched at 4:30 and left the park around 7:30. We launched at the grassy, gravel, NY paddle trails. There was a sign. Adjacent to the marina. Would definitely paddle there again. No restrooms near the launch we used.

Hiking Trail Review Geneva Lakefront Trail - 4.6 Miles The parking lot at the start is free and has plenty of space. The trail is a gorgeous walk along the lake. There are several piers and connectors for you to walk out on and view the water. Lots of wild life; birds and fish galore.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
