Confirmed from Ontario Pathways, Stanley Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Ontario Pathways, Stanley Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (71 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Beautiful place to hike, I started at the southern end and had the trail to myself”

Very well maintained rails to trails path. Plenty of parking at this trailhead. The walk to the Great Stanley Bridge is worth the trip!

I can't give this beautiful trail anything less than 5 stars. However, keep in mind these things: -The trail is very rough in parts. I had a hybrid bike with a front suspension and it was fine. If I didn't have that front suspension it would have been pretty bumpy and not fun.

Lots of parking here. I'm 50+ years old but was delighted by the Winnie the Pooh story plaques all along this stretch. Whoever did that...THANK YOU! This is a great trail for those days when it's muddy everywhere else.

Location where the Canandaigua leg meets the Phelps leg of the Ontario Pathways trail. Good parking. Nice little shelter with case for trail notices. Will have Fairy Houses displayed June 1-July 31, 2020.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🅿️ Trailhead parking 8 mentions

“Also, tried two designated parking areas at trail heads and neither were plowed, still mired in snow two days after a snowfall.”
