I've lived in this area for years and just today decided to go for a visit. It definitely beat my expectations. We followed the yellow trail and had several spots that were worth a picture. It was in the low 60's with not a cloud in the sky and it was perfect.
I live about 6 minutes away from Katie Jackson and have ridden the off-road bike trail countless times. I frequent some of the more technical trails in north Texas and KJ is definitely not that.
Normal family park with a hidden gem of a DORBA trail for MTB and hiking. In the middle of apartment complexes all around but suddenly you will disappear in the wilderness. Really well made network of trail for Mountain Biking. Free flowing blue line, loamy soil. Great for beginners as well as intermediate.
Nice little playground on sort of a meadow area. A covered pavilion with benches for picnics. I didn't see any bathrooms, but the park was pretty abd peaceful and there are expensive hike/bike trails all around the park. A nice little piece of nature in a densely populated area.
