Confirmed from Preston Ridge Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

A beautiful and peaceful place to have a morning walk or even an evening jog. Its like heaven to people who like to get away from the work routine and just have some relaxed time in the day. If you have a dog you can bring it for a walk as there can't be any place better to walk a dog than here.

A nice trail for walking, running or cycling. The trail is around 6.3 miles long. At a certain distance there are few bench to sit and rest. The only disadvantage of this trail is there is no restroom facilities near the trail. Overall its a good walkway for the people who lives nearby.

★★★★☆ — Ridita , Oct 2021

Four stars for biking, 3 stars for on foot. Like: easy to follow paved path, easily accessible from almost any part of the trail so lots of options for parking and workout distance Don’t like: No restrooms, if taking the whole thing by foot, takes a few hours - long ways to go without bathroom; hardly any shade - fine…

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
