We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Katy Trail - Weldon Spring Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Recreation area with a trailhead for biking along the Katy Trail and access to a boat ramp.
What runners say about Katy Trail - Weldon Spring Trailhead
“Walked down the the river access and took some beautiful pictures.”
Went to Weldon spring trailhead at Katy Trail to see the Sunflowers. Day late, dollar short since the 🌻 Sunflowers drooped the night before. There was some standing which was nice. I had no idea they got so tall. We got there at 8 am to beat the heat and it was perfect.
Great place to start a ride on the Katy trail. 10 miles west and your in Augusta. Wines, food, and a conveniently located Brewery right on the trail. 15 miles east and your on the riverfront in old town St. Charles and all that goes with that location. Food, drinks, and atmosphere. 👊😎👍
It's so nice and peaceful on the water. The trail is wonderful, they have an air pump for bikers and locks to lock your bike if you need to stop and use the restroom, or just to admire the water. There are lots of frogs to keep the kiddos occupied while you rest. We'll be back soon.
Easy walk with beautiful scenery and views of the river. Also, a great bike riding area.

“If you drive beyond the trailhead and its parking lot you'll eventually reach a boat ramp on the Missouri River, where you'll be treated to nice views of the river.”
