Confirmed from Kearns Park Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic park featuring a short trail dotted with benches and offering tranquil marsh views.
What runners say about Kearns Park Trail
“The marsh views are beautiful and calming, and the benches placed along the way invite you to sit, breathe, and actually enjoy where you are instead of rushing through it.”
“Kearns Park Trail is one of those quiet little gems that makes you slow down without even realizing it.”
This is a nice trail park. I will say as of 9.15.19 the trails are a bit blocked off due to hurricane Dorian. A lot of debris had piled up and blocked some of the trails. Otherwise great views of the Cooper River Bridge.
Such a great trail! We love to visit because of the swing. The monument is really pool piece of history too.
Nice little park for a short walk. Went for the sunset. Beautiful views!
nice little trail! i like that it winds back on itself so much, it makes it feel like a longer trail than it is. mostly shaded, and trails are quite uneven with many roots growing into them. There are several outlooks with benches that overlook the water.
Trail conditions & character

“It is a short walk, lots of roots on the path, and always a ton of mosquitoes, so come prepared!”

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
