We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Kelley Memorial Preserve yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Kelley Memorial Preserve
“We hiked through swampy, fern grown areas with lots of mosquitoes, along a small creek with fish and frogs, and up into some beautiful pink granite formations.”
Only four out of five stars because the trail maps weren't accurate. Otherwise a great place. The Wie Preserve, The Stony Creek Quarry Preserve, and The Kelley Preserve are contiguous properties in Branford.
Nice well maintained trails that connect to Westwoods, Hoadley Creek and the Van Wie preserves, makes for a large, interconnected network of trails that range from easy to challenging.
