Confirmed from Branford Trolley Trail and Footbridge's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“This trail is very well maintained and is a very easy walk with the most incredible views.”

Great place to go for a walk, but don't. Seriously, it's nice because not a lot of people go there. So if you went there, it would be less nice. Just take my word for it. It's nice, but we'd all be better off if you went elsewhere.

I was in the area for work and found this place to take a nature walk. It was one of the few places i found that didnt have a cost associated with it as i was from out of town. It was a short trail through some marsh land along the coast with lots of wildlife to see. Lots of ospreys flying around their nests.

Very nice, easy, flat, and scenic hike! The trail is a nice flat straight path the runs partially along the ocean, with a few small extensions. The trail is mostly dirt, which can get muddy due to it being along the water and marsh. The trail is very well maintained and was super clear.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“Very popular trail along old trolley tracks, flat and short but several side trails that are a bit more challenging with even better views of the salt marshes and birds.”
