Confirmed from GLCT Westwoods Sam Hill Entrance's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Sprawling park featuring a network of hiking trails, plus rock formations and scenic vistas.
What runners say about GLCT Westwoods Sam Hill Entrance
“Quiet and beautiful, it has plenty of fascinating rock formations for the little ones to explore as well as beautiful foliage.”
Enjoyed the hike today around the Lost Lake. It is right near the train tracks in parts, and there are tons of cool boulders to climb around on. Definitely a good place to bring the kids.
Incredible area to hike. Great views. Wildlife, scenes, vistas, and serene nature. Easy to get to, ample parking, good for all hiking levels. Get out and hike!
An amazing and seemingly endless system of trails, most trails well marked and while most are easy, a few have some challenging spots! For example Today we did the white square trail along Lost Lake which afforded spectacular view but required some short scrambles.
We went as a group of ten ages 2 to 62! Luckily, the 2 year old was in a carrier. Although the rest of us, including a 4 year old, could handle the terrain, it was pretty rocky and slick with leaves. Views were wonderful, and the sight and sound of the trains rolling by were exciting! We will definitely hike again!

“Most of the trails I walked were flatter, but a few parks got pretty rocky and steep, with some parts being a pretty high step over a big rock.”

“Despite the crowded parking lot, mountain bikes and off leash dogs, there were few hikers to be seen once in the park as there are so many trails to explore!”
