Confirmed from Kendrick Park Watchable Wildlife Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“Bathrooms are clean, and the area has two easy to follow trails with interpretive signs.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 11 mentions

“The scenery is so beautiful, you can see San Francisco Peaks from this park.”

There was fresh snow when we decided to visit. We took the watchable long trail and had a blast hiking through the snow. We definitely were not prepared for the amount of snow we hiked through but that added to the fun. Since there was so much snow no one else was hiking that day.

We have been walking this trail for years. It is one of our favorites, especially when the kids were small and still in a stroller. The trail is about as easy as it gets and has some very scenic views.

★★★★★ — Olen , Aug 2023

Fun and easy hiking trail. There is a smaller paved trail, but the main trail is 1 1/2 miles long. Interpretive signs along the way explain about the area. Beautiful scenery and views. Toilets available.

Great short hike! You can choose to do the 1/4 mile gravel loop or 1 mile dirt loop. Open views and forested views, with informational little signs along the way.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
