Confirmed from Veit Springs Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“It is beautiful up there any time of year (but especially in the Fall) and it's never really crowded which is awesome.”

🪧 well-marked 2 mentions

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Easy hike, took our dog and clean up bag, although not needed.”

This was a great hike! It was not too strenuous or overbearing for young or old people. The views are spectacular and we went right after it rained and there are mushrooms everywhere. Green grass everywhere and raindrops resting on the fallen leaves each step.

Nice high elevation hike. HOWEVER at onset of hike know the trail is poorly marked and it's very easy to mistakenly walk straight ahead from the parking area and miss the hard right turn you need to stay on the trail, because there are two trails.

★★★★★ — Keith , Oct 2019

Beautiful and easy hike for families with kids. Dog friendly. Cool hike to check out the aspen fall leaves and take some great pictures. The spring and cabin ruins is located to the left of the cabin site sign not beyond the sign. The hike loops around back to the start.

Love this hike... Don't tell anyone! Easy, quick, lots of variety in plants and trees and rocks and views... Better than spending money on the gondola ride at snowbowl

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
