Confirmed from Kin-Win Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Kin-Win Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (16 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Great trail for walking, biking, running, walking dogs, exploring, photography. Lots of different trails to explore and multiple different lakes with views after the first mile. You can make a 10+ mile loop or shorter based on your interest. Lots of dog owners on trail.

★★★★★ — Ethan , Jun 2024

This hike was a beautiful little route through the fields and forest. There were surprisingly few mosquitoes, though I don't know whether or not to attribute that to the marvelous weather. The plant life growing there is beautiful and plentiful, and the perfect size to string through your hat.

★★★★★ — Karson , Jun 2020

Nice rolling walk thru meadows, variety of trails - if walking dogs bring water for them - unlike most other trails in the area, access to lakes and creeks not as plentiful. Since this summer is a buggy one - run or bike fast, or bring bug repellent. Great for low key cross country ski in winter.

★★★★★ — Kristine , Jun 2020

Easy walk, wear good shoes as the trail is a bit muddy in spots. The trail goes through open fields and woods. Nice and wide to allow passing of dog walkers and horseback riders. Parking is free (a nice feature) but there are no restrooms at the trailhead.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
