Confirmed from Knoch Knolls Nature Center's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature center with kid-oriented exhibits, including an aquarium, live animals & a playground.
What runners say about Knoch Knolls Nature Center
“The pond was clean and the whole surrounding was very peaceful and calming with seats to hang around and relax.”
“We were stopped by a wonderful regular visitor who told us how much more beautiful it is once the flowers start growing I can't wait for us all to go back what an absolute Joy”
We went there on a weekday evening to get some fresh air with family and were pleasantly surprised at how good the experience was! Amazing place for basic hiking, walking and running! Entire path is paved so kids on strollers can go just fine. Ample parking space helps as well.
Great place to walk, bike, take your dog, throw your frisbee, have a picnic and bring little kids to play on the playground. Of course there are photographic opportunities. I saw some unexpected wildlife on my walk today. (see photos).
Clean and safe trails and parks. Picnic benches for kids birthday parties. This area is well kept and perfect for families.
This place has beautiful wooded walking paths that wind along the creek. The nature center is very nice and has information about the area and the local habitat and is perfect for the whole family. There is also a disc golf course and bike path that travels through to other areas.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
