Fantastic community park with a playground, picnic tables, hiking 🥾, and biking trails. Pretty Lake Calavera provides a great hiking area with nice views. Lots of people walking their well behaved friendly dogs. The Calavera cinder cone provides a challenging hike with great views.
San Diego's very own volcano! Or at least what used to be a volcano. Great trails for hiking and mountain biking, with lots of options for where to start, as well as difficulty level. I can do advanced mountain biking on my own, or cruise the easy trails with my family.
