Confirmed from Lake County Parks & Trails (Administration Office)'s own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kids' play area, dog park and dog-friendly trails, plus a track for walking/running.
What runners say about Lake County Parks & Trails (Administration Office)
This address is for the Park and Recreational City building. That needs to be distinguished because it is classified as a park with lovely park pictures. The pictures are of all the parks the city maintains, not from this address. Dont come here to visit like I did expecting to find a trail or playground.
Wendy Poag is a wonderful, knowledgeable Land Steward. She guided members of the Howey in the Hills Garden and Civic Club through the Sara Maude Mason trail/boardwalk right in our town. We were astonished that she knew ALL of the plants.
Lake County parks and recreation really does a fine job throughout the community by properly maintaining their facilities. I personally frequent three of the multiple parks within Lake County. Every park has been very well maintained, grass, vegetation, trails, fields, restrooms - everything! It's my opinion that Mr.
Wow, great dog park! Lots of room for the dogs to run and super easy going people using it. The only potential downside for dog owners is there's an area around the people sitting area with no grass so plan on your dog getting pretty dirty lol

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
