This is one of my favorite Metroparks. It has miles of hiking and biking trails that meander through both woods and marsh, plus it has a very good marshland museum. There is kayaking and fishing. a boat launch and a marina which opens up to both the Detroit River and Lake Erie.
An amazing place for nature lovers. We were blown away by the sheer beauty, flora and fauna. Also a huge shout out to Marge for being our impromptu hiking buddy, and making the day that much more awesome :)
Horse Flys were going crazy when I went and followed me all the way to my car, and they bite, and it hurt buuuttt the park and trail were nice and I was told what happen for me is rare.
What a beautiful place! I went on a couple of the trails and had a wonderful time. Lots and lots of birds to see. The marshland museum is worth visiting as well!
