Confirmed from Lake Gregory Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Lake Gregory Trail
“A peaceful and scenic walk around the clean, serene lake.”
“Very peaceful and has plenty of parking along the way, passes two dog parks as well.”
“Been coming here nearly every day for 4 months and the trail is good for all ages and physiques.”
Parts of the trail are close to the road so careful if you have off leash dogs. Lots of fishermen and sometimes they do not clean up after themselves. Otherwise, it’s a lovely place for a 3 mile loop. Very peaceful and has plenty of parking along the way, passes two dog parks as well.
Lake Gregory Trail is such a hidden gem! A peaceful and scenic walk around the clean, serene lake. We went early in the morning and absolutely loved the beautiful views, fresh breeze, and surrounding trees. It truly felt like paradise.
Without traffic this is such a short drive from LA. We intended to make a loop around the lake after lunch but the trail was so beautiful with taking photos, stopping to enjoy the scenery and playing with acorns along the way after an hour we were still probably not even 1/5 around the lake, definitely a destination…
Awasome trail with the stunning view. Not that hard, best for chill hiking. Enjoy the nature and quiet. Best getaway from LA.
